“At every birth, two people are born - a baby and a mother.”

— Unknown

I love all things fertility, birth and motherhood. I always knew I’d love being a mom but I have fallen in love with every aspect of it - the good, bad and the ugly. The lack of support for new moms is something I can’t wrap my head around. Helping in that area, in any way that I can, is an opportunity I can’t pass up. I have a strong desire for women to feel supported in every stage in life. I want to come alongside them to make it a reality!

Unfortunately, the opportunity for women to advocate for what they want during their labor and delivery is being stripped away. I want to help women use their voice again and for their voice to be heard. I don’t care if your birth is medicated or all natural - I want you to feel confident in the decisions you make and feel at peace with them.

I care for others deeply so becoming a doula and having the opportunity to care for and support other women is a dream come true. Due to some of my own postpartum and breastfeeding struggles, I am passionate about support in the postpartum period. My hope is for women to feel supported, empowered, and educated during this learning curve - especially in vulnerable moments.

I am a Certified Perinatal Doula and received my training through the Community College of Allegheny County in partnership with Masters of Maternity.

I live in Pennsylvania with my husband and two kids - Henry and Charlie. We love adventures together and quality family time - especially outdoors.

Hi, I’m the doula

Why “Her Hands”?

I was born with the innate desire to care for and help others. When I think about how I want to use this gift, I think about how I want to point it back to the One who purposefully gave it me - God. I love that He gives each of us gifts and we all have the opportunity to use them for His glory.

In the Bible, God gives us living and breathing examples of who we can follow to be the hands and feet of Jesus and how to use the gifts He gives us for His glory. For example, Ruth left her family and everything she knew to be loyal to her mother-in-law and follow God trusting that He would provide everything for her. Mary of Nazareth, the woman who carried and birthed Jesus Christ, trusted in God’s plan for her for the goodness of humanity. Esther was bold and took risks to save her people. I want to be an extension of Jesus’ hands and these women’s hands - Her Hands.

My prayer is that I support you just as God would have me do and that my hands can hold yours through the beautiful journey of bearing and birthing new life.

I sincerely hope you give me the opportunity to do so!

I would love to meet you!
